Life Matters Everyday!

Before we can know who we are in God and Christ Jesus, we must first
do a little house cleaning with ourselves.
That means forgiving ourselves. Forgive ourselves for the all the
mistakes we have made along the way in life. The things we wished we
had done and the things we wished we did not do. Forgive others, for
the things they have done to us, that we did not deserve. The lies that
were told on us that were not true. Terrible things that we wish never
happened to us, that we have trouble forgetting they happened.

I know that is a tall order but, let me tell you something that will help
you with this.

Jesus tells us as we pray in Mathew 6:12 (KJV) “and forgive us our debts, (sins, faults), as we forgive our debtors. (those who have sinned against us) KJV. Now as you read this notice that this is a condition. I will forgive you and you forgive them.

Now in Mathew 6:15
(KJV),”but if ye forgive not men, (that means women, boys, girls too),
their trespasses, neither will your Father, (God), forgive you your
trespasses (sins, faults). So, as you can see, forgiveness is very
important to you. I know you may not want to.

The things that someone may have done or said to you. Let God handle them. When
you forgive them, you will begin to feel better. Ask God for help with
this and he will help you. Ask him to clean your heart, mind of the
situation. It may take awhile, but do it because that is what our Father
asks us. Jesus said, we are to forgive 70 x 7 times in a day. Matthew
18:21.

That is the beauty of being a Christian, we have forgiveness.
Once we ask God for it, He remembers it no more. That does not mean
you can do it and then ask Him for forgiveness, does not work that way.
